Primary Education Grades 1st - 3rd

 The early primary years – from kindergarten through third grade – are particularly important ones in children's schooling. Educators and parents understand that children acquire new knowledge and skills rapidly during these years.   Using an exceptional phonics based reading program, TLA teachers encourage your child not only to learn to read, but also to love learning it! Reading skills are taught individually, practiced in small group, and strengthened through activity time, science, history, and health. Critical thinking is also emphasized in practical subjects such as math, language arts, and Bible. 

 Throughout their day, TLA teachers focus on building a strong spiritual foundation by incorporating biblical principles on their level. Our primary students have a different specialty elective each day (art, music, computer, PE, chapel) where they continue to grown their love for learning and are academically challenged.
